THE IMAGE BELOW SHOWS WHAT A PERSON SUFFERING FROM DAMAGE TO THE INFERIOR RADIATIONS ALONG THE VISUAL PATHWAY WOULD SEE

This type of visual field defect is caused by the damage along the visual pathway. More specifically lesions of the inferior fibres of the optic radiations, which subserve the upper visual fields, which first sweep anterioinferiorly in meyer loop around the tip of the temporal horn of the lateral ventricle, and into the temporal lobe.
